We're Idiots

Meet the biggest idiots in sport.

No bunch of sports fans are more stupid than the storm, not even the
Wellington Saints.

What type of fan, would take the moral highground, and make
out their team lying as victims and hero's.

They aren't real fans, a real fan, wouldn't stand there and
scream out that they will support their team until the
die they die.

A real fan wouldnt start singing his team songs and give
their players a standing ovation after what this club did.

The Storm players, the Storm Coaches, The management, screwed
the fans, screwed their sport, they lied, they cheated, they
committed fraud, and worst of all they tried to play the
part of the good guy, and they insulted every human being,
when they played dumb.

You cannot tell me, that you thought all these luxury items
that showed up at your house were above board, for cripes sake
the players were giving free boats!!!!

Here is what a real fan would of done, they would of shown up, and
not clapped, they wouldn't made any noise in protest.

The banners real fans would of taken, would of told the players
of the hurt and disgust they feel for them.

That is what real fans would of done, Melbourne doesnt have feel fans
though.

Shame on this club, they deserve no sympathy.

Lets hope the guilty parties will be found guilty.

Time will tell.

IPL Money Talks?

I cant believe the Bangalore match went ahead after the bombing.
One hour after this terrible incident the players went ahead with
this game, which featured Kiwi cricketer Ross Taylor.

Daniel Vettori's side has now been knocked out, but if they
were still in this comp, Daniel would of stayed on.

Why are the players staying on in these circumstances?

If the Blackcaps were on a test tour to Sri Lanka, India
or Pakistan, they would come home straight away, but it
seems players are quite happy to stay and play for the
IPL.

Surly money doesn't talk that loud??

Or does it?

Is Karl Pilkington in New Zealand?

Is this man stuck in New Zealand for a long time?

Due to a Volcano erupting in Iceland, we have a lot of stranded
passengers at our airports who have to stay here about a week
longer than they first hoped.

Our news crews interviewed several people at the airport, one
guy they interviewed was the splitting image of Karl Pilkington,
pictured above.

They didn't name the man who was interviewed, but not only did
he look 100% like Karl, but he spoke 100% like Karl, so was he
Karl Pilkington??

Surly some Journalist would of known this?, then again, George
Strait took his family on holiday here in 2000 and no media
group reported it in New Zealand, despite it making the news
back in his own country.

I'm totally against the whole reality TV celeb culture and who
is doing what to who, but if your going to interview someone,
surly you must know the person that you are interviewing is
known to the public.

With TVNZ, Obviously not.

The Great one meets the Great one

Score another one for Garth Brooks, who was honored today on capitol
Hill with the "Grammy on the Hill" award for leadership in advancing
the rights of music makers.

Garth did no singing but members of congress sang his biggest hit,
"Friends in Low Places" to him.

President Obama was on hand to congratulated Garth Brooks.

Garth has been retired since 2000 but has work so hard for
song writers all over the world since.

His award was well deserved and singer/song writers are better
off, thanks to his hard work.

Hats off to Garth Brooks.

President Obama May be coming to NewZealand

I sure hopes he comes, I missed out on seeing President Clinton when
he came here in 1999 and missed out on former Vice President Al Gore when
he came a few years later, hopefully his visit will occur when I'm in the
country.

The world has a great leader in Obama and it will be special for
New Zealand if he visits here.

He would only be the second President of the USA to visit here.

Fingers and toes are crossed.

No more 24

Say it ain't so.

After eight seasons, one of the great dramas of all time is
ending. Kiefer Sutherland made this programme, I believe he
is the only actor who could of pulled off Jack Bauer.

The tense drama, the edge of your seat action, it was like watching
a box office action movie each week.

But all good things come to an end and on May24th in the USA, there
will be no more 24.

I for one, will be proudly wearing my, "If you don't watch 24,
you don't know Jack" teeshirt.

Thanks for eight years of the best television and fingers crossed
that Jack and Chloe comes through unscathed during the last hour.

Time will tell.

New Zealand Cricket Team Take Note

The man in the picture above in Ryan Nelson.

He plays in English Premier League.

he is a Professional sportsperson.

His off field work doesn't consist of two
two hour training sessions a week and five
drinking sessions a week.

In an interview with the Herald here is what he
had to said about his his work load.

"We have six full-time guys working on sports
science for us and the reserves at Blackburn.
That covers everything from nutrition, to GPS,
to heart rate, hydration ... you get a print out
once you've done your day's work to tell
you how many metres you've done, what the body
load effect is, how tired your body should be,
hydration levels, what protein you need to
rebuild.

In training you wear a watch or a vest with a little
chip in it for the GPS. In matches there are about 15
cameras around the stadium tracking the high-intensity
running, jogging, passing ... every little second
on the field is analysed. There is no place to
hide. We get break downs on individual opponents
as well but that can get a bit repetitive - a lot
of the time you just get quick points on the main
things to look for."

IMHO that is what proffesional sports players do.

Something to think about, isn't Oram, Mills and Vettori,
