RIP The Count

Jerry Nelson the puppeteer and voice of The Count
from Sesame Street has died.

Generations of kids, laughed, giggled and learned to
count because of The Count, a true children's entertainer
and educator.

May he rest in peace.

Barbara Sumner-Burstyn

Barbara Sumner-Burstyn not only don't you have the
integrity of a writer, (You seem to think writing is
just having little cliche digs at people or events)

You dont have  anyway near the moral intrigirty
of Lance Corporal Jacinda Baker.

Your not even close, you may of played up to
your base of fans, but how dare you say this,
it anit tough writing, it anit truthful, it's
just plain cruel and mean.

Why oh why do some people let their extreme
ideology get in way of the facts, or think they
have the right to be nasty to people.

I hope the Nzherald never uses her writings
again.

I also hope the idiots who have made threats against
her, get caught, because no one has the right
to threaten anyone because of the words they
speak.

Neil Armstrong Dies

Neil Armstrong has died at the age of 82.

Neil Armstrong leaves us with mankind's greatest
legacy, no feat in the history of the planet has been
bigger than his feat.

Neil Armstrong, the first man to walk on the moon.

He will always be remembered,  no matter how
long earth's history goes for.

Lance Armstrong

Banned for life.

Stripped of all seven Tour De France titles.

Never failed a drug test.

Never said "I have never taken steroids"

Has only said "I have never tested positive for steroids"

Maybe innocent, maybe guilty.

We will never know.

Warriors Lose

How sad, after making the playoffs last
season, the Warriors are now battling for
the wooden spoon.

Here's hoping next season will be better.

Time will tell.

Gary Coleman

Been watching, a lot of Different Strokes
episodes on youtube lately, it's quite
sad that Dana Plato and Gary Coleman are
no longer with us.

When people say Gary Coleman  was the
greatest kid actor in TV history, they're not
mistaken, what a great little guy he was, his
catchphrase, his cheeky little smile, his all
round bubbly personality, it's just horrific
that the adults around him, didn't look
after him and in same cases he was forced
to work when he was suppose to be
in hospital.

I don't know anyone around my age that
didn't love Different Strokes, and didn't
love Arnold.

If only you could go back in time and warn
Gary and Dana what was ahead.

Glad to see though that Todd Bridges is
doing well, wished it had a happy ending
for all of them.

Reality is no friend of the dreamer though.

Cheat and Liar

Meet the Olympics biggest Cheat and Liar.

Nadzeya Ostapchuk of Belarus.

Not only did she lose her Gold medal for taking
steroids, she is now saying the new Gold medal,
Valerie Adams is a cheat and took steroids in
2005.

That is a lie, Valerie Adams has never taken drugs
and never failed a drug test.

It's one thing to be a drug cheat, but to accuse
others that are clean is disgusting, and shows that
you have no morals, and your certainly not
a decent person.

Here's hoping the Olympics will ban her forever.

Time will tell.

Hey All Blacks, Dont piggyback on Adams

(The All Blacks is the nickname of the New Zealand
Rugby Union team)

Make no mistake, the All Blacks don't give a fuck
about Valerie Adams. People should've seen this
coming, as soon as the news was released that
Kiwi shot-putter Valerie Adams would be
promoted to the Gold Medal, the NZRFU
would somehow try to piggyback on the story.

When the news was released, everybody in New
Zealand celebrated, our silver medalist in London
will be promoted to Gold because of the drug
cheat from Belarus.

Within 12 hours of the story though, the New Zealand
media must of received a memo from the NZRFU,
because the headlines were NOT about Valerie
Adams, but about how the All Blacks support her
and love her and believe she should have a medal
ceremony.

Well everybody believes this, and its repugnant
of the media and the All Blacks to try and get
publicity out of this, they can't  stand that
another sportsperson who plays another sport
may be in the spotlight, other than them.

I hope and wish that Valerie Adams does get
her medal ceremony, but I also wish its not
hijacked by the NZRFU and the rugby media,
who will turn it into a story about what great
guys the All Blacks are.

Because that is unfair to the sport of track and
field.

Time well tell.

Great Olympics

Best ever.

The hosts Great Britain did an amazing job, the Great
Britain team far exceeded expectations, so many highlights.

New Zealand won five gold medals, and 13 medals overall,
we tied our best medal haul, and our five golds were the best
since 1984.

Michael Phelps proved that he is the greatest Olympian
in history, and the USA are the greatest sporting nation
on Earth.

The Chinese hurdler who injured himself created an
iconic moment by hopping 100 metres after the race
and then being help by his fellow competitors.

Who can also forget the coolest guy there, Usain
Bolt, and the coolest sports team, the USA men's
basketball team.

Hats off also to Canada, a winter Olympic Nation
who won 18 medals!!

Well done to all.

Telecom and kids with speech impediments

Why does Telecom New Zealand continue to
use kids with speech impediments in their ads.

Well the kids don't actually have a speech
impediment, but for some reason the kid
actors speak with  impediments in telecom's
ads.

From the latest ad with the kid with the
turtle, and fast Eddie, and the girl who
said "are you coming with us" to the
old ads of the kids with spot the dog.

Does Telecom think it's cute to do this?

It's insulting to the viewer, it's insulting to
kids, and it's not teaching kids bad habits.

But if it sells, they will continue to do it.

Hopefully someone will take a stand.

Time will tell.

On the Other Hand

Randy Travis seems like one heck of a guy.
I feel so sorry for him.

Bigot of the Year

Surly Colin Craig has to be the bigot of year.

Like most bigots, he is rich, very rich, and is religious
very religious.

Like all rich religious bigots, his hate is directed at
gay people.

Colin has everything he wants, but that is not enough,
he seems to think he has the right to tell Adam and
Steve that they can't get married.

What a bigoted loser.

He is the last thing, New Zealand needs.

The Greatest of all Time

Michael Phelps the greatest of all time.
